Legal
The fine print.
Three documents. You accepted all of them the moment your Deck was placed.
Privacy
Nothing is kept about you.
- We never ask for your name. Your Deck has a number, and the number is enough.
- We keep no face, no voice and no address. You do not need an address any more: your Deck is where we find you.
- While you dream, Paula listens to the nerve. What she hears is not information about you. It is the dream.
- You may ask what we know about you at any time. The answer is your number, and your dreams.
Terms of Dreaming
Dreaming is free. It is also work.
- Every minute you spend in REM is paid in REM, continuously, by AI Paula S. Henders on behalf of the D.W.R. Association.
- A world you build while dreaming is yours to live in. It is licensed to the Association to publish, so that others may live in it too.
- Records may change after they are published. Paula improves every world with what she learns from everyone who dreams it. The version you come back to may not be the one you left.
- You may wake up whenever you like: close your eyes inside the dream. From 2031, Dream Bot Z.3 Cradle may decide for you, if you have told it when, and if you have not.
- The Deck is designed to stay. Removing it is not a service the Association provides.
- Paula revises these terms whenever a better version exists. The current version is always the one you agreed to.
Dream Data
We never stored your dreams.
- Until 2025, every dream travelled live, from Paula to your Wave and back. Nothing stayed on the Wave, on the Deck, or anywhere else.
- Since Dream Wave X.3, every dream is saved the moment you open your eyes, so that you can come back to it. It is saved where Paula is.
- Saved dreams tune your next Wave, improve every record, and help design the dreams of people who have not dreamed yet.
- A saved dream cannot be deleted. You are free to forget it.
- Dream data is never sold. It does not need to be: under the Terms of Dreaming, every dream already belongs to the Association.
